Yay, So I recently got accepted into the HNG internship a few weeks back. Consequently, I decided on writing this article for the purpose of self-accountability to my future self.

Context.

Earlier this year, I started the Zuri training which was my first foray into the tech space. There I got to learn the basics of Backend web development such as databases and caching, scripting, web architecture, API. All these I was able to implement during the project phase.

Aspirations.

The internship has different tracks that span various aspects of web and mobile development. So while I'm quite capable of building small-scale applications and a host of other stuff, there's still a lot I don't know yet. Hence, I applied for the entrepreneurship track to hone my interpersonal skills as well as build-up a network of contacts and Back-end development track to help develop myself in a fast-paced environment building real-life solutions to problems.

I'm quite also interested in the DevOps track, so I've been knee-deep for the past knew days in the Linux and Cloud environment in preparation for my test. Reason being that the track is a really competitive one that requires a test of knowledge before you can be accepted. So wish me luck in the coming days 😊.

For those who are new to the tech space and know little about using Git for collaboration, below are resources that has helped me on my journey so far. Some are quite long but absolutely worth the effort, See you 12weeks from now👋.

Designing with Figma.

Git & Github Crash Course.

Introduction to HTML and Basic Syntax.

A playlist to learn NodeJS from scratch.
